Sarah J. Gafgen is an actor, singer, teaching artist and director in the Philadelphia area. Sarah has been seen on stage with The Media Theatre, Montgomery Theatre, The Walnut St. Theatre, Bristol Riverside Theatre, Quince Productions,The Ritz Theatre Company, Philadelphia Theatre Workshop, The Broadway Theatre of Pitman and the Hedgerow Theatre.
Born and raised in the great state of New Jersey, Sarah has always had a flair for the dramatic (to say the least). As a little girl, Sarah could be found in her parents living room singing Dolly Parton in full costume (yes, balloons included) with her red Fisher-Price tape recorder and microphone. . . there was no turning back . . .
Sarah went on to sing in church as a cantor, perform in school and with local community theatres and eventually to study theatre arts at Dickinson College. While in college Sarah was active in the theatre program as an actor/singer, stage manager, costume shop assistant, lighting assistant, director . . . etc. Sarah also was an original member of the Infernos (a co-ed a cappella group at Dickinson), Collegium and a voice student.
Sarah now works as an actor, singer, audition coach, voice over artist and director in Philadelphia, New Jersey and the surrounding area. Sarah is married to Carl Nathaniel Smith who is also an actor, the two are developing several projects together including their popular cabaret He Said, She Said: A His and Hers Cabaret which is available for booking through Live On Stage Productions, LLC.
